Gloria Bedwell - Winner of the John Daly Cup 2009 Kelowna

165 yards doesn't seem like a long distance for a closest to the pin contest. By comparison at this weeks US Open Championships hole 7 is a 525 yard par 4 monster. But to drive 165 yards with a putter that is another story!

This was the second year for the John Daly Cup challenge at hole 2 at Michael Brook Ranch. More than 45 golfers tried their best drive with a putter ... and only 4 golfers made it to the green.

Some drove into the rough, some hit the golf shed others went into the trees. (Others barely left the tee box!)

After only the third team teed off it seemed the winning drive had been made by, Roger Cyr with Cyr and Associates.

His drive held up until "The Eagles" Gloria Bedwell with Realty Executives reached hole on the 14th rotation.

For her efforts she won the cherished sliver colored "John Daly Cup" trophy, and a basket full of goodies.
